Stan is curious about almost everything. He has had several careers including time spent as an English professor, an autopsy assistant, a police department administrator, a research director, a network manager, head of a telecommunications management department, and several others as well. As the author of over forty books, he has incorporated this wide range of experience into his novels that include mysteries, adventures, science fiction, and young adult books. His non-fiction includes books on green careers, technology, and books about Kurt Vonnegut, Michael Connelly and Daniel Silva. He served as a Fulbright professor to Japan where he taught at Tokyo University. He has received three citations for outstanding teaching as well as awards for outstanding research. His career in technology includes senior management positions with global communications leaders such as AT&T and Honeywell as well as leading technology consulting companies such as Forrester Research and Computer Intelligence.
